Building Eddie: Starting with the Head
I have started a new resin printing project: a large model of Eddie from Iron Maiden’s The Trooper.
Before printing the complete model, I decided to begin with the head as a test. It is one of the most detailed and recognizable parts of the figure, which makes it useful for checking the scale, resin settings and overall print quality.
The head was printed on my Anycubic Photon Mono M5s using High Speed Resin, with a layer height of 0.05 mm and an exposure time of 1.7 seconds.
This is only the first step. The complete model will require several build plates, followed by cleaning, curing, assembly, filling, priming and painting.
I will continue updating this post as the project develops—documenting both the successful parts and anything I need to solve along the way.
Current status: Test print of the head completed. Next step: inspect the result and prepare the remaining parts.
